New Issue: GS Finance sells $5.88 million leveraged notes linked to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., April 17 – GS Finance Corp. priced $5.88 million of 0% leveraged notes due Feb. 6, 2019 tied to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 300% of the index return, subject to a maximum payment of $1,199.50 per $1,000 principal amount. Investors will be exposed to any losses.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
