New Issue: GS Finance prices $2.84 million trigger notes linked to S&P 500 index

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 22 – GS Finance Corp. priced $2.84 million of 0% trigger notes due May 23, 2018 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
The payout at maturity will be par plus the return if the index return is positive. The payout will be par if the index finishes at or below its initial level but at or above the 83.5% buffer level.
If the index finishes below 83.5% of the initial index, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline.
