GS Finance plans to price range accrual notes linked to Russell 2000

Norfolk, Va., March 16 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price callable monthly Russell 2000 index-linked range accrual notes due March 31, 2026, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
The interest rate will be 5.25% per year multiplied by the proportion of days on which the index closes at or above the trigger level, 75% of the initial index level. Interest will be payable monthly.
The payout at maturity will be par.
Beginning March 31, 2017, the notes will be callable at par on any interest payment date.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The notes will price on March 29 and settle on March 31.
The Cusip number is 40054K4L7.
