New Issue: GS Finance prices $2.49 million index-linked notes tied to S&P 500

Buffalo, N.Y., Oct. 11 – GS Finance Corp. priced $2.49 million of 0% index-linked notes due Oct. 18, 2023 linked to the performance of the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the return of the index is zero or positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus the index return, subject to a maximum payout of par plus 7%.

If the index falls by up to 34.29%, the payout will be par plus the absolute value of the return.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the index’s decline from its initial level.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the agent with JPMorgan acting as placement agent.
