S&P rates Televisa notes BBB+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its BBB+ global scale issue-level rating to Grupo Televisa SAB's (BBB+/stable/--) proposed senior unsecured notes due 2045, for up to $1 billion.

Televisa plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.

S&P said the ratings on Televisa reflect the company's "satisfactory" business risk profile and "modest" financial risk profile. The agency's "satisfactory" business risk profile assessment for Televisa incorporates its view of the media and entertainment industry and telecom and cable industry risks as "intermediate," and "moderately high" country risk.
