Altria Group eyeing two-part senior notes issue to fund tender offer

Virginia Beach, Oct. 28 - Altria Group Inc. is planning to bring to market a two-part offering of senior notes, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, RBS Securities Inc. and Scotiabank are the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for the repurchase of the company's notes accepted for purchase in a tender offer and for general corporate purposes.

The securities are guaranteed by Richmond, Va.-based parent Philip Morris USA Inc., a cigarette and smokeless tobacco product maker.
