S&P rates Altra notes B+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an issue-level rating of B+ and a recovery rating of 4 to Altra Holdings Inc.'s $200 million of senior secured notes due 2016.

The agency said the ratings on Altra reflect its weak business risk profile and aggressive financial risk profile. The pro forma EBITDA interest coverage ratio is about 3.5 times, exceeding S&P's expectation of 2.5 to 3 times. Given the economic recession, the agency expects these metrics to weaken.
