Cheniere’s Sabine Pass will draw on credit facility to redeem notes

Chicago, Sept. 14 – Cheniere Energy Partners, LP subsidiary Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC announced that it would draw $200 million under its credit facility to fund a note redemption in the fourth quarter, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The redemption will be a furtherance of a redemption that will start on Oct. 13 with a redemption of $318 million of the company’s 6¼% notes due 2022 using the proceeds from a new high-yield note offering that was sold on Monday.

The remaining $682 million of notes are expected to be redeemed in the fourth quarter with the credit facility and a new offering of notes that will be sold via private placement.

Sabine Pass Liquefaction develops, constructs and operates natural gas liquefaction facilities at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, La.
