Dow Silicones to repay $750 million of loan debt with note proceeds

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 25 – Dow Inc. said Dow Silicones Corp. plans to repay $750 million of the $2 billion principal balance under its term loan facility using proceeds from new notes, according to a press release.

Subsidiary Dow Chemical Co. completed a public offering of €2.25 billion of notes, which includes €1 billion of 0.5% notes due 2027, €750 million of 1.125% notes due 2032 and €500 million of 1.875% notes due 2040.

Dow Chemical also plans to redeem all $1.25 billion of its 3% notes due Nov. 15, 2022 with proceeds from the new notes.

Dow is a specialty chemical company based in Midland, Mich.
