Univar to repay €350 million term loan with new note, loan proceeds

Olympia, Wash., Nov. 12 – Univar Solutions Inc. said subsidiary Univar Solutions USA plans to repay its existing €350 million term loan B-2 facility in full, according to a press release.

Proceeds from a $400 million offering of notes due 2027, along with proceeds from Univar’s new $400 million seven-year first-lien term loan B-5, will be used for the paydown.

The company will also use proceeds to redeem all $400 million of its 6¾% senior notes due 2023 at 101.688.

Univar is a Downers Grove, Ill.-based chemical and ingredients distributor and provider of value-added services, including specialty product blending, automated tank monitoring and refill, chemical waste management and digitally enabled marketing and sales.
