NRG to repay term loan with proceeds of new first-lien notes

New York, May 20 – NRG Energy Inc. plans to reduce the amount outstanding under its senior first priority secured term loan with proceeds of a two-part offering of senior secured first-lien notes, according to press release.

The new notes are set to price on Monday and to settle on May 28. It’s a bullet deal of five- and 10-year notes.

The power company is based in Princeton, N.J.
