CLO January deal action quiet; high-grade CLO secondary market volume climbs

Eureka Springs, Ark., Jan. 5 – The CLO primary market remains fairly quiet in 2017 with no reported issues in the deal pipeline, while secondary trading in high-grade CBO/CDO/CLO issues continues to climb in the first week of the year.
On Wednesday, high-grade trading volume rose to $296.6 million from $74.4 million on Tuesday, according to Trace.
The previous session also saw $154.42 million of non-investment-grade securities trade, up from $70.5 million traded on Tuesday.
