Tractor Supply borrows under revolver to partly fund Petsense purchase

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 29 – Tractor Supply Co. drew down on its revolving credit facility to partially finance its $116 million acquisition of Petsense, LLC, according to a company press release.

The company also used cash on hand to fund its purchase of the retailer of pet supplies, which has 136 stores in 25 states.

Tractor Supply is a Brentwood, Tenn.-based retail farm and ranch store chain. Petsense will keep its headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz., and will operate as a subsidiary of Tractor Supply.
