Canexus to repay senior secured borrowings via new note offering

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 13 – Canexus Corp. plans to repay a portion of its senior secured borrowings with the net proceeds from a C$75 million senior unsecured note offering, according to a press release.

Proceeds from the seven-year notes will also be used for general corporate purposes.

Calgary, Alta.-based Canexus produces sodium chlorate and chlor-alkali products largely for the pulp and paper and water treatment industries.
