AMC Theatres to finance Starplex acquisition with revolver borrowings

Norfolk, Va., July 14 – AMC Theatres plans to fund its acquisition of Starplex Cinemas with cash on its balance sheet and availability under its existing revolving credit facility, according to a press release.

The all-cash transaction is expected to total about $172 million.

AMC Theatres is a movie theater chain based in Leawood, Kan. Starplex is also a movie theater company and is based in Dallas.
