Memphis plans to redeem nine series of general improvement bonds

Norfolk, Va., May 20 – The City of Memphis called and defeased various series of its general improvement bonds, according to a notice.

The following bonds are affected:

• $9,795,000 million of series 2005 general improvement refunding bonds due Oct. 1, 2017, to be redeemed on Oct. 1;

• $2.53 million of series 2006A general improvement bonds due Nov. 1, 2015, to be redeemed at maturity;

• $37,525,000 of series 2006C general improvement refunding bonds due Nov. 1, 2020 to 2022, to be redeemed on Nov. 1, 2016;

• $42,925,000 of series 2008 general improvement bonds due April 1, 2019 to 2025, to be redeemed on April 1, 2018;

• $20.36 million of series 2009 general improvement bonds due April 1, 2019 to 2023, to be redeemed on April 1, 2019;

• $4.09 million of series 2010A general improvement bonds due May 1, 2020 to 2022, to be redeemed on May 1, 2019;

• $3,635,000 of series 2010E general improvement bonds due July 1, 2016, to be redeemed at maturity;

• $5.83 million of series 2011 general improvement and refunding bonds due May 1, 2019 to 2020 and 2022, to be redeemed at maturity or on May 1, 2021; and

• $7.32 million of series 2014B general improvement refunding bonds due April 1, 2018 to 2020, to be redeemed at maturity.
