North Carolina Medical defeases $119.72 million bonds

Norfolk, Va., April 6 – The North Carolina Medical Care Commission defeased $119,715,000 of its series 2008D health care facilities revenue refunding bonds issued for the University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, according to a notice.

The commission will redeem $29,815,000 of 6% bonds due Dec. 1, 2029 and $89.9 million of 6.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2033.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Dec. 1, 2018.

U.S. Bank NA is the escrow agent.
