Numericable-SFR to use revolver borrowings to fund Vivendi buyout

Norfolk, Va., Feb. 27 – Numericable-SFR SA plans to use drawings under its existing revolving credit facility to help fund its purchase of the 20% stake Vivendi owns in the company, according to a news release.

Numericable-SFR will acquire half of the stake, and Altice France will acquire the other half. The purchase price is roughly €1.95 billion.

Numericable will also use its resources to fund the acquisition.

Numericable-SFR and Altice are cable operators and telecommunications companies. Numericable-SFR is based in France, and Altice is in Luxembourg.
