Green Field gets OK for appointed examiner's additional legal counsel

By Kali Hays

New York, March 25 - Green Field Energy Services, Inc.'s court-appointed examiner, Steven A. Felsenthal, obtained court approval to hire the Hogan Firm as additional legal counsel, according to a Monday order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The hiring is retroactive to Jan. 17.

As previously reported, Felsenthal chose the Wilmington, Del.-based firm to act as his local counsel, assist and advise him in investigating the debtor's value and to represent him in court.

The court approved the examiner's employment of Stutzman, Bromberg, Esserman & Plifka, a Professional Corp., Feb. 12, but no reason has been stated for seeking additional counsel.

Green Field is a Lafayette, La.-based energy services company that operates in the well services and hydraulic fracturing services lines. The company filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 27 under Chapter 11 case number 13-12783.
