Midday Commentary: Ventas Realty notes trading slightly weaker in high-grade secondary

Virginia Beach, Va., March 15 - Ventas Realty LP's notes were trading slightly wider on Friday, one market source said early during the session.

The upsized issue was quoted 1 basis point wider at midday, trading at 133 bps bid, 130 bps offered.

Ventas sold the $500 million of 2.7% seven-year senior notes at a spread of 132 bps over Treasuries on Friday.

The real estate investment trust for housing and health care properties is based in Chicago.

The Markit CDX Series 18 North American Investment Grade index was unchanged compared to Friday's close at a spread of 78 bps at midday.
