Harvest Natural Resources calls $79.75 million 11% notes due 2014

Madison, Wis., Dec. 12 - Harvest Natural Resources, Inc. said it issued a notice of redemption of all of its outstanding 11% senior notes due 2014.

The notes will be redeemed on Jan. 11 at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

The company said the redemption is conditioned on completion of the first of two transactions relating to the sale of interests in Harvest's Venezuelan assets.

The current outstanding principal amount of the 11% notes is $79.75 million.

Harvest is a Houston-based energy company with principal operations in Venezuela, exploration assets in Indonesia, West Africa and China and business development offices in Singapore and the United Kingdom.
