Great-West Bond Index Fund adds portfolio managers Moyn and Smith

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., June 20 - Great-West Funds, Inc. announced it has added Sam Moyn and Jeffrey Smith as assistant portfolio managers to the Great-West Bond Index Fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

They join existing portfolio managers Catherine Tocher and Thone Gdovin in managing the fund.

The fund seeks investment results that track the total return of the debt securities that comprise the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond index, which covers the U.S. investment-grade bond market and includes corporate, government and mortgage-backed securities.

In addition, Moyn and Smith have also joined Tocher and Gdovin in managing the Great-West Short Duration Bond Fund, which seeks maximum total return consistent with preservation of capital and liquidity by investing in investment-grade bonds. The fund's portfolio includes U.S. Treasuries and agency securities, commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities and corporate bonds.

Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Great-West Capital Management, LLC serves as the investment adviser to both funds.
