S&P ups Great American Life
Standard & Poor's said it raised its counterparty credit and financial strength ratings on Great American Life Insurance Co. (OH) and Annuity Investors Life Insurance Co. to A from A-.
At the same time, S&P said it raised its counterparty credit rating on Great American Financial Resources Inc. to BBB from BBB-.
The outlook on all these companies is stable.
The ratings actions reflect S&P's assessment that Great American Life and Annuity Investors are core to the ultimate parent, American Financial Group Inc.
