Granite Broadcasting posts $431,908 April operating income

Pittsburgh, May 16 - Granite Broadcasting Corp. reported $431,908 in operating income for April on $9.42 million in net revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures showed a decline from a $1.14 million March operating income on $10.82 million of revenues.

The net loss for April was $2.45 million, improved from a $5.14 million March net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on April 30 were $32.57 million, compared with $33.12 million at the end of March.

Granite, a New York-based owner and operator of network-affiliated television stations, made a pre-packaged Chapter 11 filing on Dec. 11. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-12984.
