S&P puts GrafTech on positive watch

Standard & Poor's said that it placed its ratings, including its BB- corporate credit rating, GrafTech International Ltd. on CreditWatch with positive implications.

S&P said that GrafTech's operating performance and debt reduction have exceeded the agency's expectations during 2009.

S&P also believes that the company's credit measures have improved to a level that is more in line with a higher rating, and this trend is expected to continue in the near term.
