Brazil's GOL Linhas obtains waiver for fourth and fifth issue of notes

Minneapolis, Dec. 18 - GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA obtained a waiver from holders of its fourth and fifth issue debentures in relation to the possible non-fulfillment of restrictive contractual clauses, particularly the debt service coverage ratio and financial leverage, according to a 6-K filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The waiver was approved at a meeting of debenture holders on Dec. 18.

The obtainment of the waiver before the closing of the financial year in course means that debt will remain recorded as long-term on Dec. 31.

The discount air carrier is based in Sao Paulo.
