GS Finance to price leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500
Chicago, Feb. 27 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due March 4, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 2 times the index return, subject to a maximum settlement amount expected to be between $1,200 and $1,230 per $1,000 of notes. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 10% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 10%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The notes are expected to Feb. 28 and settle March 5.
The Cusip number is 40056EWW4.
