New Issue: GS Finance sells $57,000 contingent coupon autocalls on Stoxx, Russell

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 7 – GS Finance Corp. priced $57,000 of autocallable contingent coupon notes due July 6, 2020 linked to the Russell 2000 index and the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon of 11.5% per annum if each index closes at or above its 70% coupon trigger level on the determination date for that quarter.

The notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly determination date beginning in July 2019 to and including March 2020.

The payout at maturity will be par unless either index finishes below its initial level and either index has closed below 70% of its initial level any day during the life of the notes in which case investors will have full exposure to the loss of the lesser-performing index. In either case, a coupon will be paid if each index finishes above 70% of its initial level.
