Goldman plans leveraged buffered notes due 2020 tied to Stoxx 50

Chicago, Jan. 19 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due Aug. 3, 2020 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.4 times any index gain.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 25% and lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 25%.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price on Jan. 25.

The Cusip number is 40055AFJ1.
