Goldman plans five-year leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Oct. 16 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due Oct. 31, 2022 tied to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.1 times to 1.2 times any index gain, with the exact participation rate to be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The notes will price on Oct. 26.
The Cusip number is 40054LUJ1.
