Goldman plans digital notes with 85% barrier tied to iShares MSCI EM

Chicago, Oct. 27 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% 15-month digital notes linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the fund finishes at or above the 85% threshold level, the payout at maturity will be the maximum settlement amount of $1,102.50 for each $1,000 principal amount. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The Cusip number is 40054KN28.
