New Issue: Goldman Sachs sells $840,000 five-year buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Oct. 27 – GS Finance Corp. priced $840,000 of 0% buffered notes due Oct. 28, 2021 tied to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 25% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 25%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the agent.
