Goldman Sachs plans leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P MidCap 400

Chicago, Oct. 6 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Feb. 3, 2021 tied to the S&P MidCap 400 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,240 for each $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and will lose 1.25% for each 1% decline beyond 20%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the agent.
The Cusip number is 40054KLZ7.
