GS Finance plans eight-year capped notes linked to the Dow

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 16 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% notes due Oct. 1, 2024, linked to the Dow Jones industrial average, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,500 to $1,600 for each $1,000 principal amount. The payout will be par if the index falls.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The notes will price on Sept. 26 and settle on Sept. 29.

The Cusip number is 40054KJJ6.
