GS Finance to price 18- to 21-month digital notes linked to S&P 500

Tacoma, Wash., March 14 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 18- to 21-month 0% digital notes linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is greater than or equal to negative 15%, the payout at maturity will be the maximum settlement amount, which is expected to be $1,079 to $1,092 per $1,000 principal amount of notes. Otherwise, investors will lose 1.1765% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 15%.
The exact maturity date and maximum settlement amount will be set at pricing.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
