Goldman to price 15-year callable step-up notes with 3.75% initial rate

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 16 – Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price callable step-up fixed-rate notes due October 2035, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest will be 3.75% initially, stepping up to 4% in October 2019, to 4.5% in October 2025, to 5% in October 2029, to 5.5% in October 2032, to 6% in October 2033 and to 8% in October 2034. Interest will be payable semiannually.

The payout at maturity will be par.

The notes will be callable at par on any quarterly date beginning in October 2017.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The notes will price and settle in October.

The Cusip number is 38148TGJ2.
