Goldman to price 10-year callable step-up notes with 3% initial rate

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 16 – Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price callable step-up fixed-rate notes due October 2030, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Interest will be 3% initially, stepping up to 4% in October 2019, to 5% in October 2024, to 6% in October 2027 and to 8% in October 2029. Interest will be payable semiannually.
The payout at maturity will be par.
The notes will be callable at par on any quarterly date beginning in October 2016.
Goldman Sachs & Co. and Incapital LLC are the underwriters.
The notes will price and settle in October.
The Cusip number is 38148TGH6.
