Goldman to price leveraged notes on S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy

New York, Feb. 5 – Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged notes linked to the S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are expected to mature 18 to 21 months after pricing.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,306 to $1,360 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.

Investors will be exposed to any losses.

The exact maximum settlement amount and maturity date will be set at pricing.
