Goldman plans callable 10-year step-up notes with 3% initial rate

New York, Feb. 27 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price callable step-up fixed-rate notes due March 2024, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest will be 3% for the first five years, stepping up to 4.25% in March 2019 and to 6.25% in March 2022. Interest will be payable semiannually.

The payout at maturity will be par.

The notes will be callable at par quarterly beginning in September 2014.

The notes (Cusip: 38147QSP2) are expected to settle in March.

Goldman Sachs & Co. and Incapital LLC are the underwriters.
