Goldman Sachs to price leveraged buffered notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., Feb. 10 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 36- to 37-month 0% leveraged buffered notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of the index return, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,300 for each $1,000 principal amount of notes. If the index declines by 20% or less, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1.25% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 20%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The Cusip number is 38147QMK9.
