New Issue: Goldman prices $2.59 million leveraged buffered notes on MSCI EAFE

New York, Oct. 23 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $2,593,000 of 0% leveraged buffered notes due Nov. 20, 2014 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any gain in the index, up to a maximum payment of $1,105.75 for each $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 8% and will lose 1.087% for each 1% decline beyond 8%.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
