New Issue: Goldman prices $7.45 million leveraged buffered notes on MSCI EAFE

Chicago, April 13 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $7.45 million of 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due April 18, 2014 tied to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,322 per $1,000 of notes.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.

The initial index level is higher than the actual closing level at pricing, which was 1,486.73.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
