Goldman plans 10-year fixed-to-floating notes tied to CPI with 8% cap

Chicago, March 30 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 10-year fixed-to-floating notes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The coupon will be 4% for the first two years. Beginning April 2013, the rate will be the year-over-year change in the Consumer Price Index plus 200 basis points, up to a cap of 8%. Interest is payable monthly.

The payout at maturity will be par.

The notes are not callable.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The Cusip number is 38143UTN1.
