New Issue: Goldman Sachs prices $26.98 million leveraged notes on Topix index via JPM

New York, March 25 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $26.98 million of 0% leveraged index-linked notes due July 1, 2010 linked to the Topix index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to the maximum settlement amount of $1,078.20 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.
Investors will share in any losses.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. and JPMorgan are the agents.
