New Issue: Goldman Sachs sells $6.3 million 0% buffered equity notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Dec. 14 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $6.3 million of 0% buffered equity index-linked notes due Dec. 21, 2010 based on the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any gain index, up to the maximum settlement amount of $1,182.50 per $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 12.5% and will lose 1.1429% for each 1% decline beyond 12.5%.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
