New Issue: Goldman Sachs prices $6.58 million buffered notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 13 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $6.58 million of 0% buffered equity index-linked notes due Nov. 24, 2010 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final index level is greater than the initial index level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 12%. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 10% or less and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 10%.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
