Goldman Sachs to sell enhanced return notes linked to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

Chicago, Nov. 4 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 0% enhanced return notes due June 25, 2010 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Payout at maturity will be par plus triple any gain in the share price, up to a maximum payout of between $1,510 and $1,720 per $1,000 note, plus a supplemental return of 8%.

If the share price declines, investors will receive par plus 8% minus the decline.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

Pricing and settlement dates were unspecified in the filing.
