New Issue: Goldman Sachs prices $100 million 0% notes linked to iShares Emerging Markets Index Fund

Philadelphia, May 3 - The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced a $100 million issue of 0% enhanced participation notes due June 9, 2008 linked to the iShares Emerging Markets Index Fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any percentage increase in the fund, subject to a maximum return of 10.6%.

If the fund declines by 10% or less, the payout will be par. Investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
