New Issue: GS Finance sells $1.38 million autocallable contingent coupon notes on indexes

By Kiku Steinfeld

Chicago, Jan. 20 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1.38 million of autocallable contingent coupon index-linked notes due June 27, 2022 tied to the lesser performing of the Nasdaq-100 index, the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annualized rate of 8.75% if each index closes above its 60% coupon barrier on the related observation date.

The notes will be called at par plus a contingent coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly call observation date after six months.

The payout at maturity will be par if both indexes finish above their initial levels or neither index has ever closed below its 60% trigger buffer level at any point during the life of the notes.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the worst performing index.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
