Moody's: GMAC unaffected

Moody's Investors Service said that the rating action that it took on Residential Capital, LLC does not affect GMAC LLC's current ratings at senior Ba1 or negative outlook.

The negative outlook on GMAC incorporates the heightened risk of pressures at ResCap affecting GMAC's credit standing, the agency said.

Moody's said it would carefully consider GMAC's owners' incentives to use GMAC's financial flexibility to support ResCap.
